St. Joseph Catholic Church - Administrative Secretary

Full-time, in-office position
Answer phone and door
Maintain membership information in database, register new members, maintain new parishioner packet and update directory
Maintain awareness of finances by coordinating with accountant to ensure proper financial management and controls
Prepare announcements, weekly bulletin and monthly calendar
Schedule funerals, weddings and special events
Maintain volunteer information and schedule
Schedule training for volunteers
Update computer software, backup data, etc.
Schedule ministers for masses
Help plan and coordinate special events?
Manage ordering of all church and office supplies
Communications & mailings to parishioners – envelopes, Christmas cards, year-end letters and other bulk mailings
Set up and maintain organized filing system
Review and distribute incoming mail
Support Pastor with administrative and clerical activities of the parish – write letters, schedule meetings, filing, etc.
